Great song. Praise be to Roy Larner. And may I also bring to mind the heroic action of Ignacio Echeverría, who fought the Moors with his skateboard and also died in this same battle. Glory to our heroes!
What a wonderful tribute to Roy Larner, thank you. It's weird seeing Lewis Schaffer in a Millwall shirt, definitely one of the better ones that we've had through the years.
I hadn't heard anything about this in the States, but an excellent story and song, nonetheless. I especially loved that bird attacking the woman around 1:03. She reminds of Aya Cash from "You're the Worst" for some reason. Makes it even funnier if you've seen that show.
Fitting tribute to the tragicomic symbolism - it *had* to be Millwall on London Bridge - Cockney legend.
Thanks Sean

I don’t know about that!

Is this public? Can I post it on Twitter?
Sure I’ll put up a Twitter version soon but this is fine for now. Was giving readers of this letter priority …
Meanwhile, since I paid my $70, you'll have to listen to be prate on about Henry George and land value tax. ;-)
that's very kind of you Dan thanks
BRILLIANT
thank you sir
I am a woman.
At last!
Been waiting for a video for the past three months.
So pleased you've finally made one.
The big question - are you going to put it on YouTube?
Eventually but I want to give subscribers to this Substack priority
When you were writing the song, i wonder if somewhere Kipling's "Tommy" resonated. https://www.poetry.com/poem/33632/tommy
From the poem: "..Why, single men in barricks don't grow into plaster saints;..." Ouch!
I'd read the poem, of course, but it wasn't in my mind when I wrote it. Though a few people have made the (very flattering) connection. Thank you!
