You might remember Roy Larner from the London Bridge terror attacks of 2017 - the Millwall fan who fought back against the macheté-wielding Jihadis with the immortal cry “F*$k you I’m Millwall.” He got stabbed eight times for his trouble. Here is a song about him.
We weren’t going to make a video of this one, for fear basically, but the incredible reception it has been getting when performed live has changed our minds. I hope you enjoy it.
Here’s a live version of the song, if you like it.
The song was recorded and mixed by Wayne McIntyre, with the video filmed and directed by Guillaume Librehomme. It features well known Millwall fans Trevor Lock, Andy Zapp and Lewis Schaffer.
Gigs coming up …
The big one on Monday December 16: the End of the Year Show
This is going to be such a special night. Monday December 16th at the Backyard in Bethnal Green. It is almost certainly going to sell out - so book now.
Plus next year’s Crazy Coqs dates have been announced.
Here is a full list of gigs coming up, including financial talks and regular MCing
Switching on payments
Finally, so many people have asked for ways to help me make more videos, so I am going to switch on payments on this Substack.
Content will remain free and there is no obligation to do anything.
I’ve put the lowest possible price for monthly and annual subscriptions, with a much higher founding member premium, if you really fancy helping me out.
You can also suggest an amount to pay.
That is all.
I hope you like the ballad.
Until next time,
Dominic
Lyrics
No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us.
We don’t care.
There was a bloke called Roy,
Who liked to watch the football.
A classic cockney boy.
His team, well, that was Millwall.
Old school and traditional,
White and working class.
Loathed by lefty liberals:
The London Working Class
No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us.
We don’t care.
3 Jihadis in a van
Rammed people on the pavement.
They took their knives and ran
To nearby bars and restaurants.
They slashed out everywhere.
Their mission to destroy.
Panic, death, despair.
And that’s when they met Roy
They said, “Allahu Akbar.”
He said, “F**k you I’m Millwall.”
They said, “Allahu Akbar.”
He said, “F**k you I’m Millwall.”
They stabbed him in his lung and leg.
They slashed him in his neck and head.
But he fought on and now they’re dead.
Last thing they heard was what he said:
”Fuck you I’m Millwall.”
The Lion of London Bridge.
Never got no medal.
But we know what he did:
He took on the devil
Risked his life and limb,
No weapons or no armour.
We owe a debt to him.
His name it is Roy Larner.
As their souls were emerging,
They got f**k you I’m Millwall.
To the heavens were surging
Drowned in f**k you I’m Millwall.
Slowly submerging.
F**k you I’m Millwall.
Then seventy two virgins
All said, “F**k you we’re Millwall!”
No one likes us, No one likes us.
But you need us.
So beware.
