On Monday April 1 - it had to be April Fool’s Day, didn’t it - the new and nuts Scottish Hate Crime Laws came into effect. To celebrate the occasion, Comedy Unleashed put on a gig in Edinburgh. The venue, which got moved several times, had to be kept secret until two hours before the gig to stop it being shut down.
Unleashed posted my set last night and here it is:
Acclaim, Opportunity and Laughter
The tour is now over. Gosh, Chad and I (and sometimes Goat and Kuba) had some fun. We were really starting to cook by the end. Thank you to all of you who came. People clapping and cheering me in the street after the gig in Bath is something I don’t think I will ever forget. Better still: my mum was there to witness it.
I’ve got to organise another one now. It can’t happen soon enough.
Fortune seems to be on my side at the moment. The day after BBC Radio 4 turned down yet another attempt of mine to get a series - it’s such a shame because I know the R4 audience would love my songs - Elon Musk shared We’re All Far Right Now and it got some 48 million views. I think that’s considerably more people than listen to R4 :)
Here are the shows I’ve got coming up.
For all sorts of reasons, not least getting better, I need more gigs!
I see so much possibility in these songs. Thank you for your support on this journey. Laus, Opportunitas et Risus - Acclaim, Opportunity and Laughter. LFG!
Phenomenal linguistic skills there, Dominic!!
Great work Dominic. Keep fighting the good fight.
