Puritanical prudes gonna Puritanically prude. Fuck 'em.

Go for the wider audience. If you lose trust, you may not gain it back.

Thank you. You have a point!

There’s something to be said for special content for Premium Subscribers. Behind the paywall stuff …

Its a great song and very funny but I felt decidendly uncomfortable watching it.

Thanks Gillian. That means it's right on the boundary!

Dominic, I watched it on Monday whilst clearing up the dinner - and I was laughing my head off 🤣

I thought it was bloody brilliant, and I have forwarded it on. I don't get offended by anything so I might not be the best judge, but be confident because you can't please everyone!

Risque comedy is what we (you) Brits do brilliantly! It ticked all the boxes ✅

Your best, and highest produced piece yet, bravo 👏

I really enjoyed it, don’t see why a wider audience wouldn’t?

Rather saucy imagery, great lyric and timely, so 3/3. In terms of repercussions, its not as if you're presenting Play Away, is it.

I thought you looked rather splendid, will need to listen to the song again to judge that- I was a bit distracted, what was it about again? 🤣

If you want mainstream, dont do it. It will only play well to the hardcore. Personally, I loved it!

Mmm …

Not your finest … ok in terms of your usual intellect and message but, despite your self-deprication, it feels like you’re playing to the lowest common denominator if the audience is full of 70’s dinosaurs with well meaning but ultimately pretty sexist humour.

I watched this because I’ve got tickets to your show in Leeds but I know if I show this to my partner then there’s no way she’ll come to see you!

So I say this with love and support for your work: Come on, you can do better (and smarter) than this!

I was at Crazy Coqs last night. The song went down very well. It was comic and your delivery made it that. But your video is very different. It is not comic. It is dark, albeit still satire and subversive. But not funny. So up to you if that is the effect you want from releasing the video as is.

Great video but too much going on with Epstein and rape gangs so wait until a better time

Thanks Andrew

I would keep this for your friends who will give you the benefit of the doubt. You looked as if you were enjoying this far too much.

I’m relieved to hear it! You almost had me thinking it was real.

Very droll, just don't make a habit of it ( less is more ). Says a lot about the guy who unsubscribed that he watched so many times - nearly as many as me. Gorgeous gal by the way.

Dominic Frisby's avatar

hahaha - thanks Mike

It was a bit close to the edge and it made me laugh. It reminded me of the film cabaret with Liza Minelli but also the Stephen Fry scenes in V for Vendetta. It will almost certainly be banned on YT etc which may hurt your channels there.

Thanks Linda x

It’s funny and would get attention but I don’t think you should put it onto wider circulation. There’s way too much degeneracy in the culture already and despite the very important message, I think the video would add to it.
