Lovely. We feel like these actors are part of our lives but we never get to find out what they are really like, wonderful memories you must have of her.
British telly used to churn out comedy like this with excellent stage actors performing live in front of an audience so you get genuine reactions and the actors can feed off it. Jason really was a masterful comedy actor and so was Scales. And the writing was spot on, just the right side of risque, your dad was a true craftsman.
Thank you for posting this. We were spoiled with the quality of tv in the 1970s.
Definitely 'classic English 1970s sitcom' and you'd never guess the gritty backstory from that episode. Thank you for sharing it AND the London Weekend theme.
My 9th birthday, never saw that...I was busy grouting up in South Africa where TV was in its infancy. I remember watching The Sweeney which was dubbed into Afrikaans!
The only other prunelle I know was a French girl first year of uni I had a snog with at chatsworth house 🤫 but she had a boyfriend back in France 😂 Bubble cars always fascinated me there’s a new company doing electric ones like the original https://youtube.com/shorts/pzWomUhhbf0?si=DX8LQnSM1At1hB8o
Tbf I was so bad with bloomin chatsworth house in Peak District cause it usually seemed to work 😂 I took 4 girls to same spot. Not my current partner of course our first meet very unique ❤️

My pleasure. Thanks Christian
The recording was made on 22 June - by coincidence that would have been on her 44th birthday (assuming Wikipedia is accurate)
